Saturday, December 2. City of Langford Christmas Lightup and Convoy of Lighted Trucks … bring donations for the food bank.  The Truck Light Convoy starts at Ogden Point (truck start gathering around  3:30pm), photos of the vehicles at dusk, and rolls at 5:45 pm. The route goes to Oak Bay, back into Victoria, through Saanich and out to the West Shore communities. It is a 35 km route that finishes at Western Speedway in Langford around 8:30pm. Saturday December 2. Sooke Sailpast. Departing from the Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina dock at 6pm. Sailing toward the Rotary Pier (boardwalk) twice, and returning to SHRM. Wednesday, December 13. District-wide 10,000 Tonight Food Drive. Non-perishable food donations will be picked up by high school students from Edward Milne Community School, Belmont Secondary and Royal Bay Secondary. The goal is to collect 10,000 items (last year they achieved over 11,000 items!) Organized by leadership students at each of those SD62 high schools. Have donations ready at your door for pickup 5-9pm or take to the schools.
